Welcome to Kidfun.Life!

Howdy parents and children!

We started this site because we feel reading is such a spectacular ability to have, it’s like a superpower.

Once you start reading and have the love for it, it becomes so enjoyable it’s hard to stop. Also, we’d like to point out that it’s something you will always have with you. It’s not something that you can break or lose like a toy.

Kids who can read, feel more confident about themselves, another PLUS.

Once the pandemic started, we realized how many families were impacted by not being able to attend school. Parents became teachers and primary educators once again (on top of doing everything else).

We feel this need and want to share. Learning to read is such a dynamic process. Its more than just learning the letters and their sounds. The process has to be fun and dynamic as well.

We are not teachers ourselves, at least not certified in any formal way. However, we have experienced first-hand what has worked for our family. Our daughter started speaking 8-9 word sentences at the age of 3 and started reading before turning 4. We firmly believe this was due to her consistent exposure to reading and reading together at a very early age. We would visit the library 3 times a week for their story time. Bringing home 3-4 books turned into bringing home 10-15 books each visit. Today she is an advanced reader with strong language and comprehension skills.

Our worksheets are created out of something fun we’ve read; typically from an inspiring book or even a cool exhibit such as after going to the museum. Our goal is to bring you opportunities to read more and spend more time together.

Did I do something educational with my child today?

Did I make time to read or do something fun together today?

Do I have something extra for the kids to work on that’s also interesting?

After completing a worksheet, you and your little one would have spent time reading together, practiced some writing and fine motor skills, and learned about a topic. In doing this, we hope to inspire more conversations, questions, curiosity, reading and more time together!

We’ll be adding more worksheets so visit often. If you’d like to see a worksheet about a particular topic, please let us know. If you enjoyed a worksheet, consider saving and sharing.

So right now, grab a nice beverage, check out some worksheets, find a cozy spot and read together.

Cheers and here’s to more reading!
