HIP HOP ANNIVERSARY SCULPTURE

Have you seen Canstruction?

Today is the last day to view the Canstruction exhibit in Brookfield Place in New York City. If you have time while in NYC, this is actually a very fun exhibit to check out for both adults and kids.

All inside Brookfield Place, numerous displays of amazing sculptures made out of unopened canned food can be found. This is an annual competition where teams of architects, contractors and engineers come together to create the sculptures. The designs are imaginative, creative, fun and all help a good cause; hunger. The cans from these large scale sculptures are later donated to City Harvest to help provide families with a holiday meal.

Although, today is the last day to view the exhibit, it’s brings the opportunity to have conversations with our kids about helping others less fortunate or are currently going through a hard time.

A collection bin is located at 230 Vesey street on the 2nd floor near the escalators to collect any non-perishable food item donations from the public. You are also able to make money donations on their website.

For more information visit canstruction ny or Brookfield Place.

I’ll share photos shortly. Cheers!
